One World Wellness would like to invite holistic health professionals to attend its inaugural networking night on June 27 from 6-9 p.m. The free event will be held at the One World Wellness studio located on North High Street in East Haven, Connecticut.
This is an opportunity for those working in the holistic health field to connect with like-minded professionals in the healing arts. Those in attendance will have the chance to meet other practitioners from a variety of backgrounds and traditions in yoga, massage therapy, energy healing, counseling services, nutrition, meditation, aromatherapy, wellness coaches, intuitive arts and many more. The purpose of the night is to encourage collaboration and promote an environment of cooperative learning.
One World Wellness is a holistic center specializing in Taoist yoga, breathwork and meditation. Offering classes for all types of individuals, the East Haven center also hosts community events, workshops and professional trainings. During Networking Night, it is One World Wellness’ mission to assist private practice providers build successful businesses while connecting with a larger supportive community.
The evening begins with healthy appetizers and introductions followed by a guest speaker. Monica Leggett, a certified life, business and relationship coach, presents an inspirational framework for creating a thriving business and new working relationships. Her talk, Designing Professional Alliances for Success, focuses on the positive aspects of building collaborative relationships within the holistic health field. Leggett will give examples of ways to connect and collaborate, involve participants in an interactive discussion and provide resources to support one’s professional goals.
A certified coach and trainer, Leggett works with individuals, teams and organizations who want stronger communication, team-building, leadership and conflict resolution skills. Her coaching business, New Steps Life Coaching, helps individuals transform both their personal and professional lives. She is also a co-founder of Authentic Connections, a women’s networking group for professional women throughout Connecticut who seek greater growth through successful business partnerships.
After listening to the speaker, guests will then join breakout groups to envision possibilities and discuss goals for professional collaboration on projects, ventures, workshops or services.
Afterward, there will be time for attendees to seek networking opportunities with those in similar fields or across disciplines. A short video on interdependence versus competition will be shown, and the night will end with a business card raffle drawing. Prizes include gift certificates, spa products, marketing discounts and freebies, select gift baskets, and more.
